sugar pine ridge sunsetSugar Pine Ridge sits right on the edge of Highway 108 in Sugar Pine, California. A beautifully landscaped area with benches and picnic tables, two small golf putting areas, bright green ferns and lavender plants adorn the ridge’s flattened areas. The view boasts miles of mountains blanketed with evergreens to the west. It is one of the best places in Tuolumne County to watch the sun dip below the mountains in the evening.

Along 108, there are few spots to enjoy an unobstructed view like this one. Gorgeous shades of pink, purple, orange and yellow cascade across the sky until the sun disappears behind the far mountain peaks and ridges. It’s a peaceful spot to share the sunset with loved ones or to take in the spectacular sight in solitude with nature.

The ridge itself is a new feature in Sugar Pine, created by Jenny Burns and her son Zac Broxham who own the land and work as realtors from the office on the property. They allow the public to enjoy the area as a park and have been working hard to maintain and beautify the ridge. Use of the ridge is a fantastic addition to this tiny mountain town and is appreciated by all who pull over to enjoy the scenery!

Sugar Pine is located just above Twain Harte, only minutes from The McCaffrey House. Don’t miss out on memorable evening moments here during your stay!
