Oliver found a guests’ shoe unattended!
“We just came back from a 2 night stay at McCaffrey’s and it was so wonderful. We traveled as a family with a young baby and a dog. Stephanie quickly decided to switch us to a room downstairs, which was a brilliant arrangement. We basically had our own private entrance to their woody back yard and our dog couldn’t be happier to go in and out of the house freely. He quickly made friends with the host dog, Oliver, a super well behaved golden retriever. So cute to see them running together. The house was lovely, super clean, full of cute touches (loved the locally made soaps), breakfast setting super beautiful surrounded by big trees and food was very delicious. They had a cool retro-style high chair for our baby too, and even a baby spoon The temperature there in July was so pleasant – always in the 70s – making doing everything outdoors very pleasant all day long. We love hiking and used to backpack/camp all the time, but with a young baby, it’s nice to have a “home” to come to after a long day of hiking. We took a long hike in Emigrant Wilderness and the other day in Stanislav, and McCaffrey’s is at a great location for accessing those hikes. Twain Harte was a very cute town to walk around as well, and great restaurants too. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would love to come back. Stephanie, thank you so much for your warm accommodation.” – San Francisco, CA
