It’s a well-known truth that some people are very close to their dogs. They go everywhere together, from the park to the bookstore. Almost every photo of them also features at least one dog and, if they have their way, they will be (or were) married with their dog in the wedding party. If you are one of these people, you know how difficult it can be to include your dog in family vacations. Most hotels are not pet-friendly. Some may offer a kennel service but don’t welcome dogs in the actual rooms. The McCaffrey House Bed & Breakfast Inn is different, we love dogs and welcome them as a beloved member of your family. Please note that two of the inn’s eight rooms are pet friendly.Pet friendly lodging near Yosemite

Room to Run Around

We have dedicated an entire acre of land to the health and happiness of guest dogs and because we understand that not every aspect of your vacation can include your furry friends. You may, for example, want to visit the beautiful Dodge Ski Resort, but dogs are not notoriously talented skiers. For these occasions, your pet can happily frolic with the other guest dogs while you take care of the human-only activities.

Keeping You Company

Your dog is an important part of your vacation. For some, it can be difficult to get a good night’s sleep without the familiar comfort of your pet sleeping nearby. For this reason, the McCaffrey House is happy to provide sheets to throw over the comforter so your pet can safely join you up on the soft, comfy beds. Pets are fully welcome in your room(s) as long as they are well behaved and you are there with them. They can even join you for a sumptuous handmade breakfast on the deck each morning.

Brushed and Ready

Before you go, make sure their shots and flea treatments are current, and their nails have been recently clipped. Just before you leave, give yourself and your pet a thorough bath so both of you will look and smell your best for the trip. With your suitcase and best leash in hand, you’re ready to set out on a beautiful mountain vacation with your pet.
